1974-070 Ordinance0 l~~G~. ].9 7~- 70 Offered by Council Members McKinney, Walker and Sansonetti PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF ENACTMENT OF ORDINANCES 1974-67 AND. 1974-68 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRLAWN: Section 1. Pursuant to the authority granted Council by Charter Section 4.08 to provide for publication of its legislative enactments, the Clerk is directed to publish notice of Ordinances 1974-67 and 1974-68 as follows: (A) By posting a full copy of each of said ordinances as provided in Ordinance 19 72-108. (B) By publishing the full text of each of said ordinances in the Akron Beacon Journal once a week for two successive weeks. (c) By publishing in the Akron Beacon Journal once each week for two successive weeks the notice described in Section 731.231, Ohio Revised Code, the first such publication to be made within five days after copies of the Model Traffic Code and the Model General Offenses Code are distributed and available as set out in said notice. (D) By posting in the places designated by Ordinance 1972-108 the notice described in paragraph (C) hereof, making such posting within the period prescribed in said paragraph (C). Section 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary to the health, safety and welfare of the City and its inhabitants for the reason that Ordinances 1974-67 and 1974-68 are police regulations providing for the preservation of the public health and safety and the public must be apprised of their contents at the earliest possible time in order that they may prudently and lawfully engage in their day to day activities, and by reason thereof shall be in full force and effect from and after its enactment.
