1974-059 OrdinanceORDINANCE NO. 1974 - 59 OFFERED BY: Councilman Bartelstone CREATING THE POSITION OF LEGAL ADVISOR TO THE COUNCIL AND PROVIDING COMPENSATION. WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fairlawn has determined the need for additional Legal Counsel in the area of its legislative responsibilities. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRLAWN: Section 1: The Council of the City of Fairlawn having determined the need for additional legal counsel in the area of its legislative responsibilities, does hereby create the position of Legal Advisor to Council. Section 2: The Legal Advisor to Council shall be an attorney at law admitted to the practice of law in the State of Ohio and shall be experienced in municipal law. He shall on request of Council perform such legal advisory duties as directed. Section 3: The Legal Advisor shall be appointed and confirmed by a majority vote of Council at a regular meeting. Section 4: Compensation for said position is hereby established at $25.00 per hour and shall be paid by the City upon approval of Council. This position shall continue for the term of the Council ending December 31, 1975. Section 5: This Ordinance shall be effective from and after ten days after its first publication by posting.
