EMPLOYEES IN CONNECTION WI~
LITIGATION A~'~ OT~IER TRANSACTIONS o
BE IT ENACTED BY TflE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRLAWN:
Section 1. Except as otherwise provided by Ordinance, no compensation shall
be paid to any elected or appointed officer of the City, or to
any member of any City board or commission, or to any employee
of the City for his attendance in his official capacity at any
trial or hearinE in any Court or before any municipal, state
or federal board, committee or commission, ~ere such appearance
is required by reason of the official position or employment
of such person by the City; provided, however, that such
official~board member or employee may retain ordinary witness
fees paid him by the Clerk of any court by reason of such
proceedings, and, provided, further, that the City shall re-
imburse such official, board member or employee for his
ordinary and necessary expenses incurred in connection with
such appearance.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after ~anuary 1, 1973.
