ESTABLISRING CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS OF ELGIN DRIVE
WITfI OTHER STREETS AS "STOP" INTERSECTIONS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF I1-1E CITY OF FAIRLAWN:
Section 1. It is determined that the density and movem_en~ of traffic on
Elgin Drive is so great that it is necessary to the safety
of the City and its inhabitants that the following intersections
be declared stop intersections, to-wit:
Elgin Drive and Stanley Road
Elgin Drive and ~/arviel Drive
Elgin Drive and Cabot Drive
Section .,2. The operator of any motor vehicle not bringing his vehicle to a
complete stop before entering any of said intersections shall
be suilty of a misdemeanor~ and upon conviction shall be fined
not more than $50.00.
Section 3. The Street Commissioner is directed to erect proper signs informing
the public of the stop requirement herein set forth.
Section 4. This ordinance is hereby declared an emergency measure necessary
to the health, safety and welfare of the Oity and its inhabitants
for the reason that continued unregulated flow of traffic at said
intersections presents a hazard to the lives and property of the
users of the public streets, and it shall therefore be in full
force and effect from and after its enactment.
