1973-135 ResolutionRESOLUTION 1973-135 OFFERED BY Mr. Markel WAIVING THE REQUIREMENT FOR ADDITIONAL RECREATIONAL AREAS IN CONNECTION WITH APPROVAL OF PLAT OF WESTHAMPTON ESTATES SECTION D. WHEREAS the previous Council did approve and accept an allotment known as Westhampton Estates, Section A on October 21, 1968, and Westhampton Estates, Section B on July 28, 1969, and Westhampton Estates, Section C on December 2, 1970, and WHEREAS in connection with said approvals said Council did accept a cash payment in lieu of a provision for a recreational area as required by Section E-12 of Ordinance 1960-7;and WHEREAS the Planning Committee of this Council after thorough investigation has determined that said cash payment was accepted in fulfillment of the requirement for the provision of recreational areas not only for Sections A, B, and C aforesaid but also for a then proposed but now to be developed Section D of said Westhampton Estates; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRLAWN: Section 1: The requirement of Section E-12 of Ordinance 1960-7 making provision for recreational areas for Westhampton Estates, Section D, is hereby declared to have been fulfilled and the Planning Commission is authorized to accept the plat of said Westhampton Estates, Section D, without the allocation of additional recreational space. Section 2: This Resolution shall be effective from and after ten days after its first publication by posting. Passed November 19, 1973 I. William F. William Clerk of Council Resolution 1973 - 135 T~- January 29, 1974 TO: Chief Pierre Mayor Hartlaub Bill Reed, Finance Director Members of Safety Committee FROM: Howard Bartelstone, Safety Committee Chairman Ordinance 1973-134 - Educational Pay Incentive Ail reference to college credit hours in Section 1 of Ordinance shall be interpreted as semester credit hours. A conversion factor of 2/3 shall be used to adjust quarterly credit ho.,urs to earned credit hours where application for educational incentive has been made. This procedure is in accordance with the intent of the ordinance and should eliminate any future confusion. Upon approval of the credits earned by copy of transcript to the Chief and the Safety Director, approval shall be obtained from the Safety Conm~ittee of Council to authorize the Finance Director to increase pay as provided in the ordinance on a normal bi-monthly basis.
