AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING SECTION FOUR
OF ORDINANCE NO. 1970-20 FOR THE PURPOSE
OF INCREASING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID
THE POSITION OF POLICE DISPATCHER AND TO
BE EFFECTIVE THE 1st DAY OF MARC~ 1971.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 1970-20 enacted the 19th
day of January, 1970~ the Police Dispatcher was
created within the Police Department of this
municipality and
WHEREAS, by Section Fou~ (~) of said ordinance
a compensation to be paid for the performance
of such duties was determined to be $8,650.00
annually and
WHEREAS, this Council upon recommendations of
~he Safety Committee desires to increase the
said base for salary for the performance of
such duties
BE IT ORDAINED' by the Council of the City of
Fairlawn, Summit County, Ohio.
Section 1.
That for the purpose of increasinE the annual com-
pensation 'to be paid for the pez'for, mance of duties
as Police Dispatche~ fo~ ~he Police Department of
the City of Fairlawn 1:o the annual sum of $~600.00
being necessary to the safety and general welfare of
the City~ does hereby amend Section Four (~4) of said
O~dinance 1970-20 ~o ~ead in full as follows'

Section Four. Tha~ the compensation to be
paid for ~he faithful performance of said

sum of $9,~00.00 annually to become effective
the is't day of March, 1971 and said compensa--
tion shall be paid in semi-monthly install-
ments pror'ata 't:o 'the base salary as hereby
e~tablished of 09,600.00 annually.
That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an
emergency measure necessary to the health, safety
and general welfare of the City by its inhabitants,
by increasing the efficiency of the Police Department
of the said municipality and by reason thereof shall
be in full force and effect after its enactment.
