WHEREAS: The Safety Committee of this Council has made an extensive
study of the duties of the Police Department and their compensation.
WHE~~S: Such Committee has now recommended the following schedule
of compensation.

Section 1:
That effective and beginning the first day of March 1971 the
following schedule of compensation shall be psid to the members
of the Police Department of the City of Fsirls~na on an snnusl
basis, paid in semi-monthly installments.

That this Ordinance is hereby intended to supplement
Ordinance 1970-46 and shall in no other way other than

That this ordinance is hereby determined to be necessary to
the health, safety and general welfare of the City by reason
of promoting the safety of the City of Fsirla~m, increasing
the morale of the Police Department and shall therefore be in
full force and effect from and after its enactment.
