1976-075 OrdinanceORDINANCE ~976- 75 Offered by Councilwoman McKinney AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PtlASE II IMPROVEMENT OF GRIFFITHS PARK TO BE PAID FOR OUT OF FUNDS HERETOFOR APPROPRIATED FOR SUCH PURPOSE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, this Council did appropriate monies by Ordinance 1975-100 for the Phase II Improvement of Griffiths Park in the City of Fairlawn, and WHEREAS, the city has advertised for and received bids for said improve- ments. NOW THEREFOR, UPON TIIE RECOb[MENDATION OF THE PARK AND RECREATION BOARD, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRLAWN, OHIO: Section 1- That the Mayor be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract for the Phase II Improvement of Griffiths Park. Section 2: Pursuant to Ordinance 1975-100, the Finance Director is authorized and directed to make appropriate entries and issue vouchers and warrants in payment therefor up"to an amount of One tlundred Eleven Thousand"Seven Hundred Dollars ($111,700. 00) . Section 5: That it is hereby found and determined that this legislation complies with Section 121.22, O.R.C. regarding notification of meetings and all deliberations of this Council pertaining hereto have been con- ducted in accordance therewith. Section ~- This Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure, nec- essary to the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the City of Fairlawn for the reason that bids have been received for designated improvements and the costs will hold good for a period of ~0 days and will probably increase thereafter and it shall therefor be in full force and effect from and after its enactment and approval by the Mayor or at the earliest time allowed by law.
