1976-036 OrdinanceORDINANCE 1976 - 36 OFFERED BY: Mr. Lowry ;uN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING THE UNIFORM POLICY FOR FULL TIME EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF FAIRLAWN BY PROVIDING IMPROVED VACATION PROVISIONS AND CLARIFYING SICK LEAVE PROVISIONS, Whereas, this Council did establish a comprehensive policy for full time employees of the City of Fairlawn by Ordinance 1972-84A and did amend and supplement said policies by Ordinance 1975-82, and Whereas, this Council has, after new investigation and study, determined that s~id policies should be further amended and supplemented. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRLAWN, OHIO: Section 1: That the Uniform Policy for Full Time Employees be amended and supplemented in Subsection I. Vacations, Paragraph B to read as follows: Eligibility Requirements: Full time employees, working a scheduled forty hours or more per week, shall earn and be credited with annual vacation leave according to their number of years of continuous service to the City of Fairlawn and Village of Fairlawn as follows: a. Less than 1 year service b. 1 year service but less than 5 years of service c. 5 years service but less than 14 years of service d. 14 years service but less than 20 years of service e. After 20 years service None 2 weeks 3 weeks 4 weeks 5 weeks Section 2: That the Uniform Policy for Full Time Employees be amended in Subsection IV. Sick Leave, Paragraph F., to read as follows: Retirement: Upon retirement, each employee shall be compensated for any unused s, ick leave time accumulated to date of retirement at the rate of one-half of a day's pay for every one day accumu- lated and unused, using the employees base rate of pay on the date of retirement. S~.,.tion 3: Ail provisions of the Uniform Policy for Full Time Employees not in conformity with the within provisions are hereby repealed. Section 4: That it is hereby found and determined that this legis- lation complies with Section 121.22, O.R.C. regarding notification of meetings and all deliberations of this Council pertaining hereto have been conducted in accordance therewith.
