1976-035 OrdinanceORDINANCE 1976 - 35 OFFERED BY: Mayor Hartlaub AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF PART-TIME SECRETARY, ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION THEREFORE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRLAWN, OHIO: Section 1: There is hereby created the position of part-time secretary. Section 2- The pos.ition herein created shall be filled by appointment of the Mayor. . Section 3: The employment of such part-time secretary shall be for no more than nineteen (19) hours per week, and such part- time secretary shall serve without compensation for sick leave, vacationB, holidays, pension benefits or hospitalization ben~fits. Section 4: The compensation for said part-time secretary shall be at the rate of $~.50 per hour. Effective January 1, 1977, the rate of compensation shall be at $3.68 per hour. Section 5: The Director of Finance shall issue his warrants for compensation hereunder upon voucher of the employee and shall charge the same to the mayor, finance and clerical accounts on a pro-rata basis for service rendered. Section 6: Ordinance 1975- 24 is hereby repealed. Section 7: That it is hereby found and determined that this legis- lation complies with Section 121.22, O.R.C. regarding notification of meetings and all deliberations of this Council pertaining hereto have been conducted in accordance therewith. Section 8: This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary to the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Fairlawn, Ohio, for the reason that part-time secretarial assis- tance is required immediately to provide proper administration and it shall therefore be. in full force and effect from and after i~s enactment and approval by the Mayor, or at the earliest period al~ ~owed by law.
