2023-066 Resolution - Beggars' Night-2023Resolution 2023-066 Offered by Mayor Sharnst<y and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING SUNDAY, OCTOBER 29,2023, FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 7:00 P.M. AS "BEGGARS'MGHT" IN FATRLAWN, OHrO WHEREAS, Sunday, October 2g,20z3,has been proposed as the time for the children to go door to door and "trick or treat" through the neighborhoods of the City of Fairlawn; and WHEREAS, homes wishing to participate should turn their front porch light on; and WHEREAS, the City of Fairlawn has proposed October 29,2023 as "Beggars' Night" to coincide with the neighboring Townships of Copley and Bath. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRLAWN' OHIO THAT: Section l: The Administration and Council of the City of Fairlawn do hereby designate Sunday, october 29,2023' from 5:00 p.M. to 7:00 p.M. as the date and time for the observance of "Beggars' Night," and do recommend to all citizens of the community that they support this activity and that they exercise caution on the roadway at that time' Section 2: The Administration and Council do hereby request the assistance of all City officials to assure the success of "Beggars' Night" in Fairlawn. Section 3: It is hereby found and determined that this legislation complies with Section 121.22, O.R.C' regarding ""tif*"ti"r of meetinjs and all deliberations of this Council pertaining hereto have been conducted in accordance therewith. Section 4: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and approval by the Mayor or at the earliest period allowed by law.
